People of all ages go to the gym for all kinds of reasons: to look goed, lose weight, get fit or even improve posture. But did you know that fitness is good voor your mental health as well?

People who have been going to the gym for a while report not being able to stay away from the gym for long periods. That 'good feeling' has become a part of their routine. Fitness is an essential part of a balanced lifestyle.


People with serious psychological symptoms might need professional help from a mental health professional, doctor or psychologist. Fitness is not a substitute for this. However, that is not to say that fitness can't provide great support in combination with mental health care. As a matter of fact, every good mental health care provider will prescribe physical activity as part of their treatment plan.
